Overview
Provide immersive French instruction for the principal while layering early exposure for a newborn joining soon: fluent professional and social French for travel and entertaining on one track; gentle, listening-rich routines on the other, coordinated with caregivers and developmental guidance as directed.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the principal's proficiency and maintain a tailored adult syllabus; design a separate, age-appropriate French exposure plan for the newborn
- Deliver structured principal sessions aligned with household calendars
- Assign focused practice between principal lessons and track measurable adult progress
- Cover business correspondence, dining and hospitality scenarios, and conversational fluency for the principal as priorities dictate
- Coordinate discreetly with household staff for instructional spaces, nursery-adjacent scheduling, and strict confidentiality regarding principals, itineraries, and household matters
Qualifications
- Native or C2-level French with impeccable spoken and written command
- Demonstrated experience teaching adults at executive level; private or boutique settings preferred
- Comfort designing gentle early-language or auditory enrichment alongside formal adult instruction
- Degree in French, linguistics, education, or equivalent academic depth
- 3+ years experience in language instruction or comparable private tutoring
- Eligible to work in the United States; clean background check and outstanding references
